Videos, no matter if animated, live action, or mixed forms, are particularly well suited to explain complex topics in an easy and memorable way.
Infographics visualize and explain contexts and structures. Interactive and playful elements can increase the motivation and learning efficiency.
The design and production of the content is only the first step. A straight distribution strategy is necessary to generate attention amongst the target-group. It needs to include search engine optimization and viral marketing as well as networking and interaction in the social media of Web 2.0.

WissensWerte – animated video clips for political education
Within the project WissensWerte, the german nonprofit organisation /e-politik.de/ e.V. publishes and distributes a series of innovative animated video clips for political education. Technically state of the art and didactically elaborated, the clips offer an exciting way to learn about politics.
Civic education is a cornerstone of any democratic political system. Only those people who are aware of political interrelations and are able to think politically can use their democratic rights in a responsible way. In an increasingly individualized and depoliticized society, the willingness to get informed about politics or even get engaged is declining rapidly. To be fair, this is in part due to the fact that political relations in a globalized world have become increasingly complex and confusing. At this point, we want to intervene by creating fresh and exciting opportunities to learn about political issues, how such issues are interrelated and who the key persons involved are.

Focus Human Rights
The series "Focus Human Rights" will consist of an overview clip and of one clip about each of the three dimensions of Human Rights.
The first dimension involves the Political and Civil Rights, the second dimension deals with the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the third dimension consists of the Collective Rights.
In addition, a number of cross-cutting issues are explained. For example: the history of Human Rights, the role of non-governmental organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, or the problems of the Human Rights system.
Together, the overview clip and the three specific clips provide a profound knowledge about the topic Human Rights.

Under the new Anticorruption Strategy of German Development Cooperation edeos has produced on behalf of the Society for International Cooperation (giz) for the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), an animated film.
Project
For the Society for International Cooperation edeos has created an animated and musically painted slideshow showing the efforts of German development cooperation in the field of prevention of violence against women.
